High Performance
Providing a maximum torque of 75,000 ft-lbs (101686 Nm) and 50,000 ft-lbs (67790.9 Nm) continuous rotational torque; well suited for today's high torque premium casing connections. With this high torque rating, the 9&frac78 HS HT-75 Casing / Drillpipe Tong is capable of properly handling all premium grade tubulars within its size range.
Exceptional Gripping CapabilitiesThe 9&frac78 HS HT-75 Casing Tong offers exceptional gripping capabilities handling tubular size from 3½ - 9&frac78 in. (88.9 - 250.8) and WD Tri-Grip® Backup size 3½ - 11 in. (88.9 - 279.4). An innovative design allows for you to choose either sliding heads or pivot heads configuration upon order. Wrap-Around dies are offered which securely encompass the tubular to limit potential for damage. Therefore, you are assured of your down hole tubular connection integrity.
Torque Turn ReadingsAvailable with a two-speed Hydra-Shift® motor for a smooth speed shifting without stopping. A WD Tri-Grip® Backup is offered for make-up and break-out of the most resilient connections. These two design features provide excellent torque turn graphic readings. Additionally a two-speed gear train is provided for (4) Torque Levels and (4) RPM Speeds.
Wedge Drive Tri-Grip® BackupThe WD Tri-Grip® Backup is a high performance no compromise backup that is suitable for make-up and break-out of the most resilient connections. The WD Tri-Grip® Backup features a three head design that encompasses the tubular that applies an evenly distributed gripping force. The backup can handle tubular from 3½ in. to 11 in. (88.9 - 279.4 mm). A constant radial load is applied when a single wedge drive to actuate the front two pivot heads with a third stationary head providing a reactionary force to provide superior gripping performance. Wedge Drive Tri-Grip® Backup has exceptional gripping capabilities with Rig Dies when running drill pipe or optional Eckel Wrap-Around True-Grit® dies or Pyramid Fine Tooth dies for making up other types of tubular.
