    Overview

    ECKEL® TONGBOSS® AUTOMATED TONG POSITIONING

The Eckel TONGBOSS automated tong positioning system maneuvers any size of Eckel hydraulic power tongs precisely around the tubular during running and pulling operations. One operator controls the tong positioning and tong functions hydraulically from the rig floor. The TONGBOSS® is unique to all tong positioning systems on the market today in that it requires no magnetism, bolting, welding, or rig floor tracks. In developing the TONGBOSS® , Eckel set some simple design goals. These goals were to improve safety, operational costs, cycle time, and to universally install on any rig.

The TONGBOSS® uses any size Eckel tongs once fitted with remote controls allowing you to easily change the tong out on any particular job. When safety, time and money are at stake, it pays to have a TONGBOSS® out on your next job.
